“Hi, I’m Tabitha, and I live in Penrith. We recently built our new house and moved in. With all the expenses of the house, buying a solar system outright wasn’t an option, so we had to finance it. “I’ve never had a more positive experience with tradespeople in my entire life. They did a pre-installation call as promised, turned up on time, and the team leader was so friendly. We were really impressed. We had been warned by everyone to watch out because tradespeople might ruin your gutters with their ladders. Penrith Solar Centre’s team had rubber covers to protect the gutters, and everyone wore proper PPE. They looked professional and had a team of four or five, not just two guys.
“The team leader communicated with us throughout the entire day. Anytime they had to make a change or decision, he came and checked with us. They didn’t do anything without asking us first. It was perfect.
“Another thing that stood out was how happy the team was. No one looked miserable to be at work, and that was nice to see. It made me feel good about supporting a local business that treats its staff well. I’ve probably annoyed everyone in my life by telling them if they need solar, call Penrith Solar Centre.

“Our first bill after installation was for the last of the warmer months. Our energy consumption part of the bill came down about 60%. On top of that, we got a solar feed-in tariff. It was a huge improvement, and we were really happy. The last couple of months have been cooler, so the reduction in our bill has been a little less, but it’s still really good. I check the system on the Enphase app all the time.
“The Enphase app is fantastic. I’m a bit of a data nerd, and I love spreadsheets and graphs. The detailed daily graphs are so helpful because now I know what uses the most power, so I can plan when to use it. I had no idea how much power my oven uses, so now I start dinner earlier in the day to use solar power. It’s changed my habits with how I use things in my house.
“We decided that microinverters were the better option for us. It’s important to look at your options to make the right choice for you.
